Site Interior / Project Design Coordinator Jobs in Abu Dhabi at Zircon Decor
We are seeking a driven and technically skilled Site Interior / Project Design Coordinator to join our Interior fit-out construction team in Abu Dhabi. Working between our head office and active sites, you will bridge the gap between design and build, ensuring our luxury projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Inspections & Sign-offs: Conduct thorough, proactive inspections of fit-out works to ensure execution aligns perfectly with approved shop drawings, project specifications, and contract requirements.
- Documentation Control: Formulate and manage Inspection Requests (IRs), site diaries, technical reports, and comprehensive snag lists.
- Subcontractor Oversight: Monitor sub-contractor workmanship, material installations, and site progress to minimize rework and protect profit margins.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the vital link between our office engineering team, site project managers, client consultants, and specialist subcontractors to swiftly resolve execution bottlenecks.
- Luxury Finishes Control: Directly supervise the delivery of premium architectural finishes, custom joinery, specialized ceilings, high-end flooring, and complex wall cladding.
- Submittals & Mock-ups: Review technical method statements, track material submittals, and oversee the approval of physical on-site mock-ups with consultants.
- Handover & Close-out: Drive the snag-rectification process to achieve seamless project handovers and final client sign-offs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in interior fit-out contracting, with a heavy focus on high-end luxury construction.
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery in reading, interpreting, and auditing shop drawings to spot design discrepancies and coordination clashes before they impact the site.
- Industry Standards: Deep knowledge of local fit-out construction methods, material performance, and contracting QA/QC protocols.
- On-Site Coordination: Proven track record managing subcontractors, coordinating with external consultants, and driving site documentation.
- Core Skills: Sharp eye for high-end aesthetics, proactive problem-solving under pressure, and strong communication skills.
