Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Site H2S Specialist to support oil & gas operations on a Saudi Aramco project. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing H2S safety requirements, conducting emergency response activities, monitoring H2S hazards, maintaining breathing air systems, and ensuring compliance with project HSE standards. The role requires strong experience in sour gas environments, emergency preparedness, and site safety management.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain H2S safety procedures at project sites.
- Conduct H2S drills, emergency response exercises, and personnel briefings.
- Monitor H2S detection systems and gas monitoring equipment.
- Install, inspect, and maintain breathing air systems and emergency response equipment.
- Ensure readiness and proper functioning of SCBA units and breathing apparatus.
- Coordinate personnel accountability and site evacuation procedures.
- Conduct H2S awareness orientations for site personnel.
- Monitor confined space activities and high-risk operations.
- Ensure compliance with client HSE requirements and industry best practices.
- Prepare daily safety reports and incident documentation when required.
Qualifications and Certifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related discipline.
- WAP Certification.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an H2S Specialist, H2S Technician, H2S Safety Supervisor, or similar role within Oil & Gas projects.
- Experience supporting drilling, workover, well intervention, production, refinery, or gas plant operations.
- Strong knowledge of, H2S detection and monitoring systems, SCBA and breathing air systems, Emergency response procedures, Confined Space Entry monitoring, Gas testing and hazard identification
- Ability to work in remote field locations and rotational assignments.
- Good English communication skills.
- Valid H2S Safety Training Certificate.
- SCBA / Breathing Apparatus Certification.
- First Aid & CPR Certification.
- Confined Space Entry Certification.
- Gas Tester Certification.
- Saudi Aramco project experience preferred
