Role Description
The Site Engineer at is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar. This position is responsible for overseeing aluminium-related construction and installation activities, ensuring that work is carried out according to design specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with civil and structural engineers, supervising site teams, monitoring progress, and resolving technical issues that arise on site.
The Site Engineer will conduct regular quality checks, prepare site reports, collaborate closely with project managers and contractors, and support the implementation of best practices in aluminium fabrication and installation. The role also involves maintaining clear communication with stakeholders to ensure timelines, budget, and quality targets are met.
Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively in an on-site environment, with strong coordination and supervision skills on construction or installation sites.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with cross-functional teams, contractors, and clients in a clear and professional manner.
- Experience in quality control, with the capability to inspect work, enforce standards, and ensure compliance with safety and project specifications.
- Background in structural engineering, with knowledge of design principles, load-bearing elements, and integration of aluminium systems in structures.
- Experience as a civil engineer or in a closely related engineering discipline, preferably within construction, façade, or aluminium manufacturing projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and construction standards in Qatar or the GCC region.
- Proficiency in engineering and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, structural analysis tools) and basic project documentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Previous experience in aluminium or façade installation projects is an advantage.
