We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the financial records, taxation, and inventory accounting of our pharmacy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bookkeeping, VAT compliance, payroll, and financial reporting while ensuring adherence to IFRS/GAAP standards.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial & General Accounting:
Maintain accurate records of daily transactions including sales, purchases, and expenses.
Reconcile bank statements, cash flow, and accounts payable/receivable.
Process payroll, employee benefits
Monitor petty cash expenses and ensure proper documentation.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
2. Taxation & Compliance:
Handle VAT filing, compliance, and input/output tax reconciliation.
Maintain records for corporate tax filing
Prepare for internal and external audits by ensuring all documents are in order.
Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and accounting standards.
3. Inventory & Cost Control:
Track cost and ensure accurate stock valuation.
Reconcile supplier invoices with purchase orders and goods received.
Monitor inventory levels, expiry dates, and stock shrinkage.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field..
Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the pharmacy or retail sector.
Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, ERP, or similar).
o Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, VAT laws, and local tax regulations.
o Familiarity with inventory management systems.
Soft Skills:
o Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
o Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
o Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
