Drawing Creation:
Prepare detailed joinery drawings using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
Create detailed shop drawings, working drawings, and plans for fabrication and installation.
Translate conceptual designs into technical specifications for the joinery team.
Design Collaboration:
Work closely with architects, interior designers, and engineers to understand design requirements and constraints.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure the designs meet project specifications and timelines.
Material Selection & Specifications:
Specify materials and finishes based on the project needs and client preferences.
Ensure that materials are available and that all specifications comply with safety and regulatory standards.
Quality Control:
Review and revise drawings to ensure all details are accurate, and the joinery products meet functional and aesthetic standards.
Ensure that the technical drawings are clear for construction teams, reducing errors during production and installation.
Site Visits and Coordination:
Occasionally visit construction sites to ensure that the joinery work is being carried out according to the design.
Provide technical support and advice to the site team during the installation or fabrication of joinery items.
Project Management Support:
Assist in project planning by estimating materials, costs, and time for completion.
Monitor the progress of joinery work to ensure timely delivery of designs and manufactured products.
Documentation & Reporting:
Keep records of design revisions, material selections, and project developments.
Generate reports and update stakeholders on the progress of design and production phases.
