Role Objective:
The incumbent will ensure efficient processing of Private Banking & Wealth Management settlement transactions in accordance with bank and regulatory guidelines. The incumbent will verify and manage oversight, authorization, and control of operational activities performed by Wealth Management Settlement Officers, ensuring settlement accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation across all asset classes.
Detailed Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform all operational activities as assigned by the Section Head – Treasury & Investment Operations, in compliance with local regulations, Doha Bank’s policies and approved T&I Operations policies and procedures.
- Review and authorize trade captures of Private Banking & Wealth Management and deal validation for structured products, bonds, equities, and funds.
- Verify settlement instructions prepared by the Officers, ensuring accuracy of SWIFT messages i.e. MT / MX 5XX, 2XX, 1XX before release to custodians or counterparties.
- Oversee settlement processes with all external service providers / custodians i.e. UBS, Allfunds, Clearstream, Euroclear, ensuring timely completion of DvP and FoP transactions.
- Validate corporate action processing i.e. dividends, rights, mergers, redemptions, ensuring correct entitlements and timely client reporting.
- Supervise reconciliation of cash accounts and securities holdings, investigating mismatches and ensuring resolution.
- Approve account opening requests, ensuring adherence to KYC, AML, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor custodian and platform activities, ensuring operational risk controls and escalation procedures are followed.
- Provide guidance and oversight to the Officers, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and adherence to market best practices.
- Responsible for reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including settlement status, exceptions, and risk issues.
Educational Qualifications & Experience:
- University graduate with a degree in Business or Banking or Finance or Economics or any other related discipline.
- Master’s degree in management or any other related discipline will be an added advantage.
- 08-12 years of total experience in financial services/banking industry, entailing responsibilities pertaining to the specific area of discipline.
- Experience in Wealth Management, or Private Banking operations.
- Proven experience in settlement activities across international markets and multiple asset classes.
- Experience handling investment products including equities, bonds, funds, and structured products.
