Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Utilities Engineer to lead the design and coordination of water, wastewater, and infrastructure expansion projects. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, support project managers, and develop cost-effective design solutions that integrate seamlessly with overall project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide lead design leadership and support project managers in the planning and execution of water/wastewater and infrastructure expansion projects.
- Oversee the design of various site development and utilities aspects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
- Lead utilities design efforts to develop timely and cost-effective design solutions.
- Facilitate the effective integration of various engineering and infrastructure design elements across multidisciplinary teams.
- Prepare project drawings, calculations, and design documentation for inclusion in overall project deliverables.
- Review and approve technical submittals, ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and authorities to secure necessary approvals.
Required Software Knowledge:
Candidates must be proficient in the following utilities engineering software:
- SewerGEMS (sewer network modeling and design)
- WaterCAD (water distribution system modeling and analysis)
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Minimum of 15+ years of proven experience in utilities engineering, with a focus on water/wastewater and infrastructure projects.
- Professional Engineering license (e.g., P.E., P.Eng., or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and project management skills.
- Excellent technical writing and communication abilities.
- Proven experience in preparing drawings, calculations, and design reports.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project managers and multidisciplinary teams.
