Position: Senior Trader (Oil & Gas – Commodity)
Responsibilities:
Execute large-scale trades and manage significant trading positions in the oil and gas midstream sector.
Analyze market trends, news, and data specific to the oil and gas industry to make informed trading decisions.
Mentor junior traders and provide guidance on strategies and best practices within the midstream sector.
Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, suppliers, and other market participants.
Monitor and manage risk associated with trading activities, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Collaborate with other departments, including logistics and operations, to ensure alignment with overall business strategy.
Stay updated with regulatory changes and ensure compliance with trading regulations specific to the oil and gas industry.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Specialization in oil and gas is a plus.
Proven experience as a trader in the oil and gas industry with a strong track record of successful trades.
In-depth knowledge of financial markets, trading strategies, and the oil and gas midstream sector.
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
Strongcommunicationand interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
Proficiency in trading software and tools relevant to the oil and gas industry.
Preferred Skills:
Advanced degree (MBA, CFA) is a plus.
Experience with algorithmic trading in the oil and gas sector.
Familiarity with international oil and gas markets.
