Senior Test Automation Engineer Jobs in United Arab Emirates at IgniteTech
Title: Senior Test Automation Engineer
Company: IgniteTech
Location: United Arab Emirates
Build the Future of Quality — With AI in Your Toolkit
We’re looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer who’s ready to work at the intersection of quality engineering and generative AI. This isn’t a traditional QA role — it’s a chance to shape how modern teams ship reliable software by combining deep automation expertise with cutting-edge GenAI tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and the OpenAI API.
If you believe quality is a strategic advantage (not just a checkbox), and you thrive in environments where automation, data, and AI converge — keep reading.
What You’ll Do
- Own test automation strategy end-to-end for key product areas — from framework architecture to execution and continuous improvement.
- Harness GenAI tools daily to generate test cases, parse logs, surface edge cases, and accelerate exploratory testing in ways most teams haven’t tried yet.
- Build and scale Selenium-based frameworks (Python, Java, or JavaScript) that keep regression suites fast, stable, and meaningful across browsers and environments.
- Wire automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps — ensuring every code change is validated before it ships.
- Analyze test results and production data to uncover failure patterns, define quality KPIs (coverage, defect density, MTTD), and present actionable insights to engineering leadership.
- Review automation code and mentor junior engineers on framework best practices, GenAI-assisted workflows, and data-driven decision-making.
- Partner with product and dev teams from the design phase — defining acceptance criteria, testability requirements, and quality standards before a single line of code is written.
What Makes This Role Different
- AI-first QA workflow. GenAI tools and cloud infrastructure are already provisioned — no fighting for budget or buy-in.
- Embedded, not siloed. You work alongside engineers from design through deployment, not downstream from them.
- Lean documentation. No 50-page test plans. Every artifact is living, actionable, and tied to automated checks.
- Signal over noise. Test suites are actively pruned — every test earns its spot in the pipeline.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in software QA, with at least 3 years dedicated to test automation.
- Selenium WebDriver expertise — Page Object Model, explicit/implicit waits, cross-browser execution.
- Strong coding ability in Python, Java, or JavaScript for framework development and scripting.
- Proven experience with GenAI tools (OpenAI API, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) applied to real engineering workflows.
- CI/CD familiarity — hands-on with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps pipeline configuration.
- Data analysis chops — comfortable writing SQL, parsing logs, and building dashboards with Grafana, Tableau, or comparable tools.
- Clear communication skills — you translate technical test outcomes into business-impact language for stakeholders.
- Remote-ready mindset — self-directed, organized, and effective in asynchronous, distributed teams.
Bonus Points
- Experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured, Playwright).
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter, k6, Locust).
- Hands-on work with Docker or Kubernetes for containerized test environments.
- Background in security testing, accessibility testing, or mobile automation (Appium).
- Contributions to open-source automation projects.
What You’ll Gain
- Pioneering GenAI-QA practices that put you ahead of the industry curve.
- Deep CI/CD pipeline engineering experience across production-grade, multi-product architectures.
- Executive-level quality strategy skills — building dashboards, forecasting defect trends, and influencing product roadmaps through data.
- A clear growth path toward Staff QA Engineer or QA Manager, with real mentorship and leadership opportunities along the way.
This is a role for someone who sees quality engineering as a craft worth pushing forward. If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
