Key Responsibilities:
Network Design and Planning Support Assist engineers in designing and configuring DWDM optical networks using Nokia systems.
Perform optical link engineering tasks, including power budgeting and wavelength allocation.
Installation and Commissioning Install and configure Nokia 1830 PSS equipment (16/32/64 series).Carry out on-site commissioning, integration, and testing of optical systems.
Ensure quality standards and checklists are adhered to during installation.
Operations and Maintenance Monitor optical network health using Nokia NMS/OSS tools such as NSP.Diagnose and resolve issues affecting optical signal performance and hardware/software faults.
Execute software updates, patch deployments, and system backup routines.
Documentation and Coordination Document site configurations, link topologies, and incident resolution steps.
Work closely with planning, NOC, and vendor teams to ensure service continuity and timely fault resolution.
Customer and Internal Support Provide technical support for internal teams and external clients.
Participate in training and mentoring junior technicians or operators on DWDM systems and tools.
Compliance and Network
Optimization
Follow telecom operational standards, safety guidelines, and vendor procedures.
Continuously assess and improve optical network performance to meet operational KPIs and SLAs.Seniority level:
