Roles and responsibilities
As a Technical Support Engineer youwill be the first contact for Devices product customers to helpthem with application questions, product issues and requests forgeneral support, and will work with the sales representative aswell as peers within the Technical team and the PLMs/APLMs todeliver the product lineobjectives.
Your Main
Duties
Providing  expert technical support inthe region, contributing in the support of global customers throughthe C360 system, and contributing to new product development withinthe PRO-Launch process
Responsible for meetingagreed service levels for customer questions / issues raised byemail, telephone, webchat, or other means. Travel to supportcustomer directly at site will be required
The role reports directly into the Technical Manager, Devices. The success of the role is measured bymeeting the service level commitment, exceeding the target for netpromoter score and supporting the team to meet the salestarget.
Qualifications Should be Degree qualified in anappropriate field of expertise such as Engineering or Technologyfor example, or have proven relevantexperience
Minimum of three years technicalexperience in industrial products – ideally working formulti-national companies
Minimum of one yearexperience with industrial digital automation applications. Ideallywith experience of Ethernet switches, fieldbus and digital phonesystems
Experience in troubleshooting andhaving analytical mindset is essential  Desired candidate profile Desirable experience withinstallation, commissioning, or troubleshooting of field-mountedequipment at industrial end user sites (e.g.refineries)
Desirable experience with End usersand/or Engineering and Procurement Contractors, System Integrators,Fire & Gas OEM’s with a
proven track record
inunderstanding their activities from front end design to projectexecution will be a major help to thisrole
Technically competent, ideally within thehazardous area environment – being eager to learn more technicaldetails of product lines, understanding certification andlegislation issues in and around thatarea
Understanding of and working experiencewith hazardous area certifications
High degreeof competence in use of tools for analysis of data, identifyingissues and taking the lead resolving theissues
Ability to communicate clearly at alllevels, creating reports and creating and delivering Power Pointpresentations Able  to analyse complex scenariosand produce realistic and simplifiedsolutions
Able to visualize customer’sapplication and his problem, and able to ask appropriate questionsto narrow down on the problem and thesolution
Ability to develop a network ofcontacts and relationships to answer customer support questions andresults orientated with a collaborativeculture/approach
Identifies improvementopportunities and drives these tocompletion
Effective communicator at all levels- skilled in delivering formalpresentations
