Job purpose

The jobholder shall contribute to ensure an optimal in-service maintenance solution for customer’s A330MRTT fleet. The main aim of this role is to provide engineering and technical support to the MRO Depot maintenance activity, to maintain the airworthiness of the fleet in accordance with manufacturer standards and regulatory requirements.

Core Responsibility Areas

  1. Strong knowledge in Aircraft Systems/Avionics/Powerplant systems, provide engineering / technical Support to the MRO / other relevant departments during the maintenance check of the Aircraft (Airframe & Component level).
  2. Review and ensure compliance of customer specified works (AD / SB / VSB / MPD tasks and other technical publications) to the extent necessary for proper embodiment during the maintenance check. Preparing EO / Job Instruction document as necessary.
  3. Provide technical support to other department for Spare Parts / Mod Kits / Materials / Tools as necessary.
  4. Strong knowledge & ability to navigate OEM portals for applicable ‘Technical Publication’ data that is necessary for the maintenance check.
  5. Review & resolving of ‘Technical Queries’ arising from Routine or Non-routine tasks which demands further technical support from Engineering/OEM.
  6. Reporting damage mapping / in-service issues to OEM through Tech Request Dossiers/Service Requests; obtain approved maintenance data / documents thereafter.
  7. Define scope of work through ‘Statement of Work’ for the maintenance/inspection works that are sub-contracted to working party or service provider.
  8. Define proper tooling / GSE that is required during the maintenance check, Ability to propose / define alternate tooling solutions within EASA framework.
  9. Prepare capability development & obtain approvals for the in-house shop repairs/inspections.
  10. Ensure Mandatory (and non-mandatory) retrofits/modification are performed on Aircraft/Component and embodiment is reported to Customer or OEM as necessary.
  11. Collaborate with planning department to establish control document required for Deferrals / Inspection Requirements / Aircraft Damage Chart / Structural Inspection Requirements.
  12. Represent inter-department meeting & provide updates on DeMAT management system, highlight / escalate as necessary, perform other tasks as required by the Technical Director or delegated Manager.

Key Technical/Functional Competencies, Skills & Knowledge Areas

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical / Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering.
  2. A320 / A330 / A340 / A330MRTT / GE CF6-80E1 Type Trainings (Level 1).
  3. Proficiency at English language (Technical & Aeronautical)
  4. Knowledge and proficiency in reading and interpretation of Maintenance Manuals (Aircraft/Engine/Component), OEM portals (AirbusWorld & other OEM), Technical Publications (AD, SB, VSB, SIL, ISI, TFU etc) and advance user of MS suite
  5. Highly organized, punctual, and structured in managing tasks and priorities; Analytical with problem-solving capabilities and objectives-oriented mindset.

Key Performance Indicators

  • At leave five (5) year of relevant work experience in aviation (CAMO Engineer / MRO Tech support engineer).
  • Minimum two (2) years must be working in engineering & maintenance for OEM / Airbus A320/A330/A340 Family, preferably Airbus Military platform (A330MRTT / A400M) is desired.
  • Thorough knowledge of Part 145 and Part M (Part-CAMO / Part-CAO) under EASA / FAA / GACA.
  • Previous training in CDCCL/Fuel Tank Safety, CAME, EWIS, Human Factors and SMS.
  • Proven problem solving and decision-making skills in daily operations.
  • Highest standard in terms of quality, reliability and safety.
  • Autonomy & Proactivity, takes initiative under QMS scope, drives solutions or presents clearly for escalations working independently with Line manager and Department Head.
  • Clear and effective communicator across multicultural teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong and collaborative team player, fostering trust and accountability within and across departments and customer.
