Manages Cross-functional team of full-stack developers (backend + frontend + mobile) across multiple product areas About the role

We run multiple product areas on a shared microservices platform. You will own end-to-end delivery, architecture, and code quality for your assigned product areas, run their squads, and represent them in cross-product platform decisions.

What you’ll do

• Lead a squad of 5–10 engineers (backend, frontend, mobile) across your assigned product areas sprint planning, design reviews, PR reviews, 1:1s, performance management.
• Own architecture decisions inside your product areas and partner with other Tech Leads and the Head of Technology on platform-wide concerns (shared auth, common backend, mobile app, analytics pipeline).
• Set engineering quality bars: PR review standards, branching / cherry-pick discipline between QA and production, test coverage, migration safety, incident response.
• Drive technical roadmap conversion from product requirements — break down work, estimate, sequence, ship.
• Be hands-on: write code on critical paths, unblock the team, prototype risky changes yourself, ship hotfixes.
• Run incident response for production issues in your product areas — root-cause analysis, post-mortems, prevention.

Must-have experience

• 7+ years building production web platforms; 2+ years leading engineering teams.
• NestJS monorepos (apps + libs structure) — multiple apps per service sharing typed libs.
• Next.js App Router with server components, ISR / SSR, dynamic routes.
• Type Script end-to‑end (strict mode), modern React (hooks, MUI, Tailwind).
• Postgre

  SQL at scale — schema design, indexing, query optimisation, Sequelize ORM, migration discipline. Familiarity with Azure Cosmos DB for Postgre

  SQL for distributed workloads is a plus.

• Search platforms — Azure AI Search (scoring profiles, semantic configurations, synonym maps) and / or Elasticsearch (mappings, aggregations, dashboards).
• Azure application platform:
  Container Apps, App Services, Function Apps, Service Bus, Storage Blob, Front Door.
• CI/CD on Azure Dev Ops Pipelines — build → ACR push → container app update; cherry-pick workflows for promoting QA → production.
• AI integration experience — Azure OpenAI (chat, embeddings), prompt design, structured JSON , retries / fallbacks.

Nice to have

• Marketplace / multi-vertical platform experience.
• Mobile app delivery (Flutter or React Native) — Android + iOS.
• BullMQ / queue-based async processing.
• Multi-tenant / B2B subscription / quota systems.
• Regional payment integrations.
• Moderation systems (Implio or similar).
• ERP integration (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365).
• Third-party ATS / recruitment integrations (e.g. Zoho Recruit).
