Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Accountant to join our Doha office. This role plays a key part in ensuring full tax compliance, supporting strategic tax planning, and maintaining accurate financial and regulatory reporting in line with Qatar’s tax framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review corporate tax returns in accordance with Qatar tax regulations
- Manage VAT compliance, including calculations, filings, reconciliations, and reporting
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of all tax-related reports and documentation
- Monitor updates in tax laws and assess their impact on business operations
- Support tax planning initiatives to optimize compliance and efficiency
- Assist in tax audits and coordinate with regulatory authorities when required
- Maintain organized tax records and ensure proper documentation control
- Collaborate with finance teams during month-end and year-end closing processes
- Identify tax risks and recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CTA, or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in tax accounting or taxation roles
- Strong knowledge of Qatar tax regulations and VAT framework
- Good understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standards
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Strong communication and professional judgment
