Based in our Ar-Rayyan hub, you will be the guardian of our fiscal compliance. You aren’t just filing forms; you are a strategic partner ensuring that our growth across Qatar is built on a foundation of tax efficiency and regulatory excellence.
Your Impactful Responsibilities
- Tax Compliance Leadership: Manage the end-to-end preparation and submission of Corporate Income Tax returns via the Dhareeba portal.
- WHT & VAT Readiness: Oversee Withholding Tax (WHT) applications for international vendors and stay ahead of the curve on Qatar’s evolving VAT landscape.
- Strategic Reporting: Prepare detailed tax provision schedules and reconciliations for monthly and year-end financial statements.
- Audit Management: Act as the lead point of contact for the General Tax Authority (GTA) and manage all tax-related inquiries and audits.
- Contract Review: Partner with our legal and production teams to review contracts, ensuring tax-efficient structures for our media projects.
- Financial Integrity: Support the wider finance team with general ledger oversight and ensure all tax accounts are accurately reflected in our ERP.
Who You Are
- The Professional: You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or CTA) is highly preferred.
- The Expert: You have 5–7 years of tax-focused accounting experience, specifically within the Qatar market.
- Dhareeba Savvy: You are a power user of the Dhareeba platform and have a deep understanding of Qatar’s Income Tax Law (No. 24 of 2018).
- The Analytical Mind: You have an eagle eye for detail and the ability to spot risks and opportunities in complex financial data.
- The Communicator: You can explain tax complexities to creative directors and stakeholders with ease. Fluent English is required; Arabic is a major advantage.
