Job Summary

The Sr. Systems Administrator is responsible for the reliable operation, security, and optimization of all QSE IT infrastructure, including on-premises and cloud-based systems. This role covers the full lifecycle management of Windows, Linux, or similar servers, virtualization platforms, storage, backup, and business continuity systems, with a strong focus on cybersecurity, automation, and compliance with QSE’s IT governance.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and optimize Windows, Linux, and virtualized server environments across on-premises and cloud platforms.
  • Manage enterprise cloud services, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, and AWS, ensuring security, availability, and seamless integration.
  • Implement automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, identity and access management, and privileged access controls.
  • Strengthen cybersecurity by implementing security controls, vulnerability management, patching, monitoring, and regulatory compliance measures.
  • Design, maintain, and test backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions for critical systems and services.
  • Administer and support enterprise databases, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, and system health while producing operational and compliance reports.
  • Provide advanced technical support, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and manage vendor relationships to ensure reliable IT service delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator, AWS SysOps Administrator, VMware VCP, CompTIA Security+, or ITIL are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience administering enterprise Windows, Linux, virtualization, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, VMware, Active Directory, automation, and scripting.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, IT governance, identity and access management, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
  • Experience with SQL and Oracle database administration is an advantage.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in English is required.
