Materials Planning:
From the given demand plan, develop and manage materials planning strategies to ensure the availability of raw materials and components.
Capacity Planning:
Assess production planning requirements and capacity constraints to meet demand forecasts and minimize bottlenecks, in collaboration with the Manufacturing organization.
Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to maintain optimal stock levels.
Delivery
Schedule:
Work closely with the Purchasing team to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply chain issues.
Production Scheduling:
Work closely with Manufacturing so production schedules meet customer orders and maintain a balanced workflow.
Continuous Improvement:
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain processes and performance.
Reporting:
Generate and analyze reports on inventory, production, and supply chain performance metrics.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supply planning or materials planning, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of supply chain processes and principles.
Proficiency in using supply chain management software and ERP systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
Knowledge of inventory management techniques and best practices.
Experience with inventory management and capacity planning methodologies.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Good negotiation skills for coordination across multiple stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work under pressure.
