About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our engineering team in Qatar. The successful candidate will lead the structural design, analysis, coordination, and technical delivery of building and infrastructure projects from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design and analysis of reinforced concrete and steel structures.
- Prepare design calculations, structural drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Develop structural solutions for commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
- Review structural shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical proposals.
- Coordinate with architectural, MEP, civil, geotechnical, and construction teams.
- Ensure designs comply with project requirements, local authority regulations, and applicable international codes.
- Attend design, coordination, and client meetings.
- Provide technical guidance and supervision to junior engineers and structural technicians.
- Conduct site inspections and resolve structural issues during construction.
- Support authority submissions, technical approvals, value engineering, and tender documentation.
- Ensure projects are completed within the required quality, budget, and schedule.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- A Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering is an advantage.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
- Previous experience in Qatar or the GCC is preferred.
- Valid UPDA/MMUP certification is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural steel, foundations, and lateral stability systems.
- Good understanding of international structural design standards, including ACI, AISC, ASCE, BS, Eurocodes, and relevant Qatar regulations.
- Proficiency in structural engineering software such as:
- ETABS
- SAFE
- SAP2000
- STAAD.Pro
- Tekla Structural Designer
- AutoCAD
- Revit Structure
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high-rise, healthcare, commercial, mixed-use, or complex building projects.
- Experience with authority submissions and approvals in Qatar.
- Familiarity with seismic, wind, foundation, and structural rehabilitation design.
Pay: QAR8,459.76 – QAR9,000.00 per month
