This position involves assisting the Zone Statutory Manager in managing statutory audits and ensuring timely filing of tax returns for ME entities. Excellent time management skills are also essential, as you will have to ensure our company meets tight deadlines. In addition to the below:
What you’ll do:
Audit Coordination:
Assist the Zone Statutory Manager in zone audits and manage statutory compliance, including internal & external audits and AFS compilation.
Tax Planningand Compliance:
Ensure accuratetax planning, reporting, and compliance for all UAE entities, including VAT, corporate taxes, and withholding taxes.
Technical Accounting Support:
Provide support to ensure compliance with IFRS and implement new accounting policies on time.
Record Maintenance:
Organize and maintain records of tax payments, assessments, refunds, and payments.
Tax Enquiries Management:
Prepare responses and liaise with Tax authorities to resolve tax inquiries and follow up on outstanding matters.
Operational Compliance:
Determine and manage operational requirements for compliance with relevant tax acts and statutory requirements.
Internal Controls Improvement:
Create and implement procedures to enhance internal controls and streamline financial processes.
Compliance Reporting:
Ensure accuracy in monthly and annual reporting (as required) Including ESR, TP, ICV, and Others.
Ad-Hoc Support:
Assist with additional financial requests.
Qualifications:
Degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution is required.
5+ years of professional accounting experience is required.
Experience in preparing financial statements for statutory reporting is required.
Experience in a Big 4 company is preferred.
Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CA is preferred.
Skills:
SAP/Oracle knowledge is preferred.
Technical capability to prepare, analyze and interpret financial and operational data/reports.
Well organized and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
