Role Overview
The Senior Spray Painter is responsible for coating activities including monitoring, inspecting, and verifying coating processes to ensure full compliance with approved specifications, procedures, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and monitor surface preparation (profile blasting).
- Perform and monitor spray-coating application activities to ensure it meets specified acceptance criteria and client specifications.
- Ensure adherence to manufacturer TDS, approved procedures, and project specifications.
- Ensure compliance to coating thicknesses and adhesions.
- Verify materials (paints, abrasives) are approved and within shelf life.
- Ensure proper storage and monitor calibration status of all equipment.
- Conduct environmental checks and measure wet/dry film thickness (DFT) using calibrated tools.
- Prepare daily inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct final coating inspection prior to shipment or handover.
- Compile final documentation including Materials Usage readings, Final Inspection Report, Certificate of Conformity etc.
