Position: Senior Software Architect / LAMP
Task Overview
Plan the technical and functional design of new features, as well as improvements to existing systems.
Actively gather and analyze statistics from production databases to increase efficiency, improve reliability, and minimize operating expenses.
Design, code and test independently as well as work jointly with the team to guide the architecture of the entire social platform.
Provide high-level code reviews for a team of experienced developers as well as oversee the development process from design to the implementation.
Solve complex software/social engineering problems that span multiple disciplines and organizations.
Oversee a team of developers, designers, and scrum team.
Manage internal and external teams working in the system development, maintenance, hosting, and IT Operations of the SM project.
Coordinate with internal and external teams providing hardware, software, and infrastructure-related services related to the SM project.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or any related field.
TOGAF OR Zachman framework experience or certificate.
Excellent software strategy analysis and design and hands-on experience in software architecture optimization of secure and scalable multi-tier web applications, mobile, and tablet apps.
Extensive experience with technology integration into SaaS or PaaS services, design and implementation of oAuth in a service-oriented architecture.
Outstanding experience in hacking, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP packages.
A minimum of 6 – 8 years of experience in database design/architecture, data modeling with strong knowledge of RDBMSs and No
SQLs like Mongo, Couch, Cassandra, Redis, AMQP queuing systems, and Scala.
Deep understanding of security, performance, scalability, and tuning for high transactional databases, high availability configurations – Clustering, Replication, Mirroring, and Log Shipping.
Hands-on experience with scalability technologies like Memcached, Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Solr, Lucene, Sphinx, Kafka and understanding of web proxies and caching technologies like Varnish, Squid, and relative load balancing technologies.
Familiarity with configuration management and deployment automation tools like Puppet and Chef.
Understanding data analytics patterns from logs and other sources and adapting to them quickly and efficiently.
