Job Purpose
The Senior Site Engineer – Façade is responsible for managing and supervising façade installation activities on site, ensuring that works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, quality standards, and project schedules.
The role requires strong technical knowledge of façade systems, site coordination, construction planning, subcontractor management, and problem-solving to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise daily façade installation activities at site.
- Plan and coordinate façade works in accordance with the approved project programme.
- Review and interpret architectural, structural, façade, shop, and fabrication drawings.
- Ensure façade installation is carried out in accordance with approved shop drawings, specifications, method statements, and manufacturer requirements.
- Supervise installation of curtain wall, aluminium cladding, glazing, windows, doors, louvers, metal panels, ACP, skylights, and associated façade systems.
- Coordinate setting-out, measurements, surveys, embeds, brackets, anchors, and structural interfaces.
- Coordinate with structural, architectural, MEP, waterproofing, and other site teams to resolve interface issues.
- Monitor site progress and ensure façade activities meet project milestones and planned productivity targets.
- Manage façade subcontractors, installers, suppliers, and specialist contractors.
- Allocate manpower, equipment, materials, and resources according to project requirements.
- Coordinate with the QA/QC team to ensure inspections are completed and works meet specified quality standards.
- Raise and close Inspection Requests, site observations, and technical issues in coordination with QA/QC and project management.
- Identify construction problems and provide practical technical solutions.
- Coordinate with the engineering and design teams regarding RFIs, technical clarifications, design changes, and site conditions.
- Monitor material availability and coordinate with the Material Coordinator and procurement team to prevent delays.
- Ensure correct handling, storage, protection, and installation of façade materials.
- Monitor installation tolerances, alignment, levels, joints, sealants, gaskets, fixings, brackets, and interfaces.
- Coordinate façade testing activities, including water, air, structural, thermal, acoustic, and other project-specific performance tests.
- Monitor snagging and de-snagging activities and ensure timely rectification of defects.
- Prepare daily and weekly site progress reports and provide updates to the Project Manager.
- Monitor productivity, manpower requirements, and work-front availability.
- Ensure all site activities comply with approved HSE procedures and project safety requirements.
- Participate in coordination meetings, progress meetings, technical meetings, and site inspections.
- Support preparation of as-built drawings, handover documentation, warranties, and project close-out requirements.
Façade Technical Expertise
Strong practical knowledge of:
- Unitized curtain wall systems
- Stick curtain wall systems
- Structural glazing
- Aluminium windows and doors
- Aluminium and metal cladding
- ACP and solid aluminium panels
- Louvers and sun-shading systems
- Skylights and roof glazing
- Glass balustrades and architectural glazing
- Waterproofing and façade interfaces
- Silicone and weather-seal systems
- Brackets, anchors, embeds, and fixing systems
- Thermal insulation and façade interfaces
- Façade performance testing and mock-ups
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 7–10+ years of experience in façade construction/site engineering.
- Proven experience with major façade contractors or large-scale building projects.
- Experience with high-rise, commercial, residential, hotel, airport, or mixed-use projects is preferred.
- Strong experience in managing façade installation teams and subcontractors.
Technical Skills
- Excellent ability to read and interpret façade/shop drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of façade installation methodology and sequencing.
- Knowledge of construction tolerances and site measurements.
- Familiarity with relevant façade standards and specifications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of project planning and progress monitoring.
- Experience with construction management and document-control systems is an advantage.

Pay: AED7,000.00 – AED8,000.00 per month
