The Senior Shisha Waiter oversees the operations of the shisha lounge or area within a hospitality establishment. They are responsible for providing exceptional service to shisha patrons, including preparing and serving shisha, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards. Additionally, the Senior Shisha Waiter may supervise a team of shisha waiters, providing training and guidance to maintain service quality.
Job Responsibilities
Ensure that the service to the guest is as per Company standards to maximize guest satisfaction and departmental profit.
Interact positively and professionally with guests, colleagues, and other departments as appropriate and required.
Take orders from guests, puts items through micros, and follows through service in compliance with restaurant standards, clearing and resetting tables once the guests have finished.
Report any breakage to immediate superiors.
Attend all regular departmental briefings and contribute to an open communication within the assigned team.
Ensure familiarity with the Company’s internal policies and safety procedures.
Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation policies when handling Shisha equipment and storage.
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
Assist guests regarding Shisha menu items in an informative and helpful way.
Ensure compliance with outlet policies, procedures and service standards.
Practice good customer relations, assisting the guest in any way which does not adversely affect other customers.
Build rapport with guest to gain repeat business.
Job Knowledge & Skills
Proficiency in preparing and serving shisha, including knowledge of different flavors, packing techniques, and heat management.
Strong customer service skills to engage with patrons, address inquiries, and ensure a pleasant experience in the shisha lounge.
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to shisha use to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
Inventory management skills to monitor shisha supplies, order replenishments, and minimize waste.
Leadership abilities to supervise a team of shisha waiters, provide training, and maintain service standards.
Job Experience
Minimum 5 year(s) working experience, 3 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year(s) GCC is a plus.
Education
Certificate in Food and Beverage related course.
