Job Description Summary

The Sr. Sales & Proposal Manager is primarily focused on tendering and sales activities for HVDC projects. The role involves facilitating relationships with external customers during the tendering process. The candidate will manage non-technical global business disciplines, including tendering strategy, pricing, commercial negotiations, and legal aspects.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Support projects and regional goals for orders and margin targets.

Participate actively in the project’s commercial organization.

Build a strong HVDC pipeline for the MEA region and support forecast management.

Coordinate regional commercial and product teams, support sales capabilities, and implement business intelligence processes.

Assist in strategy development and target costing for specific opportunities.

Provide leadership and guidance to the HVDC Product Delivery Group to ensure timely and high-quality tender submissions and responses.

Coordinate efforts between regional commercial teams and the HVDC Product Delivery Group for tender submissions.

Support deal reviews and approvals following delegation of authority.

Oversee development and implementation of the Instruction-to-Order policy, focusing on compliance and risk management.

Facilitate regional and HQ reviews and deal approvals.

Support and potentially lead final customer negotiations alongside the sales team.

Drive standardization of commercial processes.

Ensure compliance with standards, integrity, and EHS requirements.

Support global initiatives and efforts to simplify processes.

Participate in global initiatives to improve Instruction-to-Order, bid prioritization, or delegation of authorities.

Maintain effective communication among all stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university.

Skills and Experience:

Relevant experience in sales, commercial operations, risk, or marketing for HVDC projects.

Effective communication skills in English;
French is a plus.

Strong presentation skills.

Understanding of commercial levers and contractual obligations over the contract lifecycle.

Ability to manage multiple work streams and resolve issues effectively.

Knowledge of contract management principles and deal shaping.

Ability to build relationships that facilitate client solutions.

Legal right to work in KSA without sponsorship; KSA nationals preferred.
