Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Road Design Engineer (Designer) to lead and deliver road and highway design projects in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in geometric road design, drainage coordination, and compliance with Ashghal and Qatar standards, with hands-on design leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of roads, highways, intersections, roundabouts, interchanges, and associated infrastructure.
- Prepare and review horizontal and vertical alignments, road profiles, cross sections, grading, and earthworks.
- Ensure compliance with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), Ashghal requirements, Qatar Highway Design Manual (QHDM)
- Coordinate road design with drainage, wet utilities, dry utilities, traffic, structural, and landscape disciplines.
- Prepare and review design calculations, technical reports, BOQs, specifications, and design deliverables.
- Review and approve design submissions, shop drawings, and technical queries.
- Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and authority coordination
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 7–15 years of experience in road/highway design, preferably in Qatar or GCC.
- Strong knowledge of Ashghal, QHDM, QCS, and AASHTO standards.
- Proficiency in:
- Civil 3D
- AutoCAD
- Experience in urban roads, highways, interchanges, and infrastructure projects.
