Role Overview
The Senior Reservoir Engineer will be responsible for evaluating reservoir performance, developing field strategies, and optimizing hydrocarbon recovery. This role requires strong technical expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-value results.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct reservoir simulation, modeling, and performance analysis.
- Develop strategies for reservoir management and enhanced recovery.
- Monitor production data and recommend optimization techniques.
- Collaborate with geoscientists, drilling, and production teams to align field development plans.
- Prepare technical reports, forecasts, and presentations for senior management.
- Evaluate new technologies and methodologies for reservoir engineering.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or related field.
- 8–10 years of experience in reservoir engineering, with a proven track record in oil and gas operations.
- Expertise in reservoir simulation software (Eclipse, Petrel, CMG, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of reservoir characterization, fluid flow, and production optimization.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; Arabic is a strong advantage.
