Position: Senior Project Engineer (EARLY WORKS) – Recruitment Campaign
NES Qatar is currently looking for a Senior Project Engineer – EARLY WORKS for our Qatar-based oil and gas client. This is a direct hire role that offers family benefits.
The main purpose of the role is to deliver end-to-end project management services for all assigned capital projects. This includes overseeing every phase of the project lifecycle—from inception and planning through to execution, commissioning, and final handover. The role ensures that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in full compliance with safety standards, technical specifications, and project requirements.
We are looking for candidates with:
12+ years of experience in engineering and project management within the oil & gas sector
Extensive experience managing and executing large-scale greenfield and brownfield petrochemical/refinery projects
Proven expertise in:
Managing greenfield process plants including licensed units and WWTP
Executing large-scale early works (site preparation, earthworks)
Experience working independently as a client/owner representative, preferably with an IOC
Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing projects from feasibility to commissioning and handover
Managing project execution strategies, schedules, budgets, and risks
Coordinating with multi-discipline engineering teams
Ensuring operational readiness and successful project close-out
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a must; a master’s degree is considered an advantage.
Membership in a recognized engineering or project management institution is an advantage.
