Job Summary:
Dime Marine is seeking a skilled Marine Electrical Engineer/Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electrical system installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance in the marine sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical and automation systems on marine vessels and offshore platforms.
Conduct troubleshooting and fault diagnosis for electrical control panels, generators, switchboards, and navigation systems.
Perform testing and calibration of marine electrical instruments and sensors.
Ensure compliance with marine classification society standards and safety regulations.
Assist in commissioning and integration of electrical and automation systems.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and technical manuals.
Collaborate with other engineering teams for system upgrades and modifications.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree , ITI or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Marine Engineering.
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in marine electrical systems.
Knowledge of marine generators, switchgear, motors, and control systems.
Experience with PLC, VFDs, and automation systems is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in shipyards, onboard vessels, and offshore environments.
Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in marine vessel repair yards or offshore projects.
