Job Title: Senior Project Engineer – Aluminum & Glazing WorksJob Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the supply, fabrication, and installation of aluminum and glazing works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements, approved drawings, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in architectural aluminum and glazing systems, excellent project management skills, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams while maintaining effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and oversee aluminum and glazing projects from project award through final handover.
  • Develop detailed project execution plans, schedules, milestones, and resource allocation plans.
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, fabrication, logistics, and installation activities to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Review contract documents, specifications, IFC drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Design Department to ensure the timely preparation and approval of shop drawings, engineering calculations, and technical submittals.
  • Monitor fabrication progress and coordinate with production teams to ensure timely manufacturing and delivery of materials.
  • Supervise on-site installation activities for curtain walls, windows, doors, skylights, glass partitions, aluminum cladding, balustrades, louvers, and other aluminum and glazing systems.
  • Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, local authority regulations, and health and safety requirements.
  • Lead and supervise Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, QA/QC personnel, subcontractors, and installation teams.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, material usage, labor productivity, and overall project performance, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Identify and resolve technical, engineering, fabrication, and site-related issues to minimize delays and maintain project objectives.
  • Attend client, consultant, and site coordination meetings, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Prepare and review project documentation, including technical reports, RFIs, inspection requests, change orders, variation orders, progress reports, and project close-out documentation.
  • Support commercial activities by evaluating variations, additional works, and cost-saving opportunities through value engineering.
  • Ensure successful project completion, testing, commissioning, snag clearance, and final handover.
  • Promote continuous improvement in engineering practices, fabrication processes, installation methods, and project delivery.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Direct Manager or Line Manager that are consistent with the responsibilities of the position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in project engineering, with significant experience in the supply, fabrication, and installation of aluminum and glazing systems.
  • Proven experience managing façade, curtain wall, aluminum window and door, cladding, and glazing projects.
  • Strong knowledge of architectural aluminum systems, glazing products, fabrication processes, and installation methodologies.
  • Sound understanding of project management principles, construction sequencing, QA/QC procedures, and HSE requirements.
  • Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and fabrication drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and project management software (MS Project or Primavera P6 is an advantage).
  • Valid UAE driving license is preferred.
