Responsibilities
Develop, lead, and implement procurement strategy.
Overseeing and handling all activities of the procurement section.
Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies.
Assist in development and implementation of company’s procurement policies and procedures for delivering high quality and cost-effective procuring process.
Assess, and foresee risks associated with procurements.
Seek out and build partnerships with reliable vendors and suppliers.
Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
Develop and maintain Supplier database.
Reviewing and evaluating products and services to be purchased.
Keeping accurate purchase and pricing records.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers to obtain best price and services.
Provide weekly reporting for procurement manager on purchasing, controls, and processes.
Ensure principles of value for money, transparency, fairness, efficiency, and accountability are evident in company procurements.
Help in internal control and auditing.
Ability to travel to various locations inside and outside Iraq based on need of the company.
Qualifications
At least 3-4 years of work experience in a similar role in procurement.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
Fluency in English, Kurdish, and Arabic.
Iraqi nationality.
Having procurement trainings is preferred “CIPS or similar trainings”.
