We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Printing Operator to join our production team, with proven experience operating the Gallus LM 44 press. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of narrow-web flexographic printing and hands-on experience with shrink sleeves, BOPP, and pressure-sensitive labels (PSL). This role is critical to maintaining our high-quality standards and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain the Gallus LM 44 flexographic printing press to meet production goals.
Set up jobs according to specifications, including plate mounting, ink matching, die-cutting, and registration.
Perform press make-ready activities including color matching, tension adjustments, and substrate changes.
Ensure high-quality output by conducting regular press checks, quality control inspections, and adjustments.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or print-related issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with prepress and finishing departments to ensure smooth workflow.
Maintain press maintenance schedules and keep detailed logs.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards at all times.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience operating Gallus presses, specifically the Gallus LM 44 or similar narrow-web flexo machines.
Strong understanding of flexographic printing processes, substrates, inks, and color theory.
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred:
Experience with UV inks and inline finishing units.
Technical training or certifications in print production or flexography.
