Job Description
• Own day-to-day operational health of the platform across Nutanix on-prem stacks and AWS recovery environments, ensuring maximum uptime for critical workloads.
• Monitor availability and performance across key workloads, responding swiftly to platform-level incidents to minimize downtime.
• Operate Rubrik Enterprise for backup and recovery—defining policies, schedules, retention, replication to AWS, and managing storage capacity.
• Ensure all priority (P1/P2) workloads are correctly protected and regularly validated through restore tests, maintaining data integrity.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery and cyber-recovery exercises, keeping runbooks and documentation current and actionable.
• Lead workload migrations from VMware and physical infrastructure into Nutanix, including pre- and post-migration validation to guarantee seamless transitions.
• Automate routine reliability tasks (backup health checks, capacity reports, DR readiness) using Power Shell, Python, or Bash to boost operational efficiency.
• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure or cloud operations in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise with backup and recovery, disaster recovery testing, and workload migrations.
• Solid working knowledge of Windows Server and Linux for troubleshooting and performance analysis.
• Experience with Nutanix (or similar HCI platforms) and VMware vSphere in production environments.
• Scripting skills in Power Shell, Python, or Bash to automate operational tasks.
• Experience operating Rubrik Enterprise or similar backup platforms preferred.
• Experience leading or participating in DR tests with full documentation and reporting preferred.
• Familiarity with AWS recovery environments and cloud-native tools preferred.
• Certifications in Nutanix (NCP), VMware (VCP), or AWS (Solutions Architect) preferred.
• 1-year contract role, on-site.
