- Report all unsafe conditions to the Production Shift In-Charge and to the concerned Mechanical and Electrical personnel.
- Respond to quality-related concerns raised by the QC Inspector, including size, weight, or mechanical property issues. Inform the finishing roller and, if the issue is major or may result in non-prime finished product, stop rolling and inform the finishing roller and Shift In-Charge immediately.
- React promptly to alarms appearing on the monitor by informing the concerned area or department and following the required operational response.
- Record the start and end time of any mill delay and ensure delay details are communicated accurately.
- Record all cobbles occurring during the shift, including relevant operational details when required.
- At the end of the shift, prepare the delay and production report in consultation with the Shift In-Charge.
