Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure and integrated security systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in networking, firewalls, switching, Video Management Systems (VMS), CCTV, and Access Control Systems. This role requires excellent technical, troubleshooting, and project management skills to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure.
- Configure and manage firewalls, Layer 2/Layer 3 switches, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and network security.
- Deploy and support Video Management Systems (VMS), CCTV, NVRs/DVRs, IP cameras, and Access Control Systems.
- Integrate security systems with the organization’s IT infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance and implement improvements for reliability and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and security-related issues.
- Perform firmware upgrades, patch management, backups, and preventive maintenance.
- Implement and maintain network security policies, firewall rules, IDS/IPS, and VPN solutions.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Lead network and security infrastructure projects from planning through implementation.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance when required.
RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in enterprise network engineering.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, managed switches, routers, wireless networks, VMS, CCTV, and Access Control Systems.
- Experience designing, implementing, and supporting medium to large-scale network environments.
- Strong understanding of network security and best practices.
Technical Skills
- TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, VPN, QoS, NAT, ACLs, DNS, DHCP.
- Firewall administration (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Sophos, or similar).
- Experience with enterprise switching and routing solutions.
- Knowledge of Video Management Systems such as Genetec, Milestone, or equivalent.
- Experience with IP CCTV and Access Control platforms.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Preferred Certifications
- CCNP or CCIE
- CISSP (preferred)
- PMP (preferred)
- Vendor certifications such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Genetec, Milestone, or Axis
