Senior Media Editor Jobs in Doha at SFAI Qatar

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, translate, edit, and proofread bilingual (Arabic / English) communication materials, including press releases, speeches, media statements, newsletters, website content, campaigns, executive messages, scripts, and internal communications.
  • Ensure editorial consistency, clarity, and alignment with clients approved tone of voice, brand guidelines, messaging framework, and technical terminology
  • Enhance readability and impact of content while preserving accuracy and intended meaning.
  • Conduct final editorial and linguistic quality checks for all outgoing content prior to approval and publication.
  • Ensure accuracy in grammar, spelling, tone, formatting, and sector‑specific terminology in Arabic and English.
  • Review and refine content prepared by internal teams or external agencies to ensure professional standards and alignment with communication policies. Provide bilingual editorial support for digital and social media content, including captions, key messages, announcements, and campaign text.
  • Support preparation and review of textual elements for multimedia content, such as videos, graphics, subtitles, and infographics, in coordination with relevant teams.
  • Maintain an organized, version‑controlled archive of drafts, translations, final content, and reference materials.
  • Develop and update editorial templates, glossaries, and writing standards to support content consistency and knowledge transfer.
  • Ensure proper documentation and traceability of approved content for reference and audit purposes.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to gather information, verify technical accuracy, and refine messaging.
  • Liaise with external content, translation, or media agencies to review drafts, provide feedback, and issue final linguistic sign‑off when required.
  • Provide editorial and content support for strategic initiatives, campaigns, official announcements, and ad hoc communication requirements as assigned.
  • Support PR & Communications leadership with editorial guidance to maintain messaging consistency and reputational integrity.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media, English, Translation, or a related field. 3–5 years of professional experience in content writing, editing, translation, or corporate communications roles.
  • Native or near‑native proficiency in Arabic and English, with strong command of written and editorial standards in both languages.
  • Proven experience developing and reviewing press releases, speeches, digital content, internal communications, and corporate publications.
  • Experience working in a corporate, governmental, or regulated environment is an advantage.
  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and translation skills in Arabic and English. Strong understanding of brand tone of voice, editorial governance, and messaging consistency.
  • High attention to detail with strong quality assurance and review capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, revisions, and deadlines effectively.
  • coordination and communication skills with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, with strong formatting and document control skills.
  • Professional, disciplined, and capable of handling sensitive and high‑profile content with discretion.
