The Senior Mechanical Technical Engineer is responsible for the engineering, technical coordination, design review, and preparation of mechanical shop drawings and technical submissions for MEP projects. The role ensures that all mechanical systems comply with project specifications, local authority requirements, consultant requirements, and international standards while providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
– Review IFC drawings, specifications, contract documents, and project requirements.
– Perform engineering calculations for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, LPG, and other mechanical systems.
– Prepare and review shop drawings, builder work drawings, coordination drawings, schematic diagrams, isometric drawings, and as-built drawings.
– Coordinate with BIM and drafting teams to ensure clash-free drawings.
– Prepare HVAC cooling load calculations, pump head calculations, duct sizing, piping sizing, water supply calculations, drainage calculations, and firefighting hydraulic calculations.
– Select and verify mechanical equipment including AHUs, FCUs, VRF systems, chillers, pumps, fans, heat exchangers, water heaters, expansion vessels, and pressurization units.
– Prepare material submittals and technical data sheets.
– Prepare RFIs and respond to consultant technical comments.
– Coordinate with procurement regarding approved materials.
– Support QA/QC with inspections and technical compliance.
– Attend coordination meetings with consultants and contractors.
– Assist planning and construction teams with engineering support.
– Review subcontractor engineering deliverables.
– Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, UPC, SMACNA, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, and local authority requirements.

Experience Requirements
– Minimum 8 years in MEP contracting.
– Experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, and infrastructure projects.
– Strong knowledge of UAE standards and consultant requirements.
– Experience preparing engineering calculations and shop drawings.
– Experience with authority submissions.
Pay: AED12,000.00 – AED16,000.00 per month
