Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with strong expertise in Piping, Pumps, and Compressors for engineering projects in the UAE. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in both design engineering and site execution, ensuring the successful delivery of industrial projects while maintaining quality, safety, and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review mechanical design calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
- Design and develop piping systems in accordance with international codes and project requirements.
- Review piping layouts, P&IDs, equipment layouts, and isometric drawings.
- Select and size pumps, compressors, valves, and associated mechanical equipment.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams including Civil, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Process.
- Review vendor documents and technical submittals for compliance with project specifications.
- Provide technical support during procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Conduct site inspections and resolve engineering and construction-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with applicable international standards, client specifications, and HSE requirements.
- Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and project coordination activities.
- Monitor project progress and provide engineering solutions to meet project schedules.
- Assist in preparing material requisitions, BOQs, technical evaluations, and engineering documentation.
- Support construction teams by addressing site queries and implementing approved design changes.
- Ensure all engineering deliverables are completed within project timelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in Piping, Pumps, and Compressors.
- Design and Site experience is mandatory.
- Experience in industrial projects such as Oil & Gas, Process Plants, Power Plants, Petrochemical, or similar facilities is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, and relevant engineering practices.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple engineering activities.
- Immediate joiners will be given preference.
Preferred Skills
- Strong understanding of piping stress concepts and mechanical equipment integration.
- Experience reviewing vendor drawings and technical documentation.
- Proficiency in engineering software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
