Senior Mechanical Engineer Jobs in Abu Dhabi, UAE at Stantec
Stantec is currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing site supervision team inAbu Dhabi.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring the Mechanical scope of works forconformance with the provisions of the contract documents and theprocedures manual.
Reviewing approving andprocessing all Mechanical technicalsubmittals.
Answering RFIs related to Mechanical.
Coordinating and supervising thework of all Mechanical activities andoperations.
Reviewing contractors Mechanicalchange order proposals and preparing recommendations to RE /PM.Liaison with the necessary subconsultants.
Reviewing contractors claimsrelated to Mechanical works and preparing recommendations forclaims.
Reviewing the contractors projectrecord documents relevant to theirdiscipline.
Managing the Mechanicalinspectors.
Analyzing laboratory and testingreports.
Assisting with the inspection ofcompleted works and monitoring the startup testing commissioningand handover of the Mechanical works.
Signingoff on completed Mechanical works with completeddocumentation.
Perform all other duties givenby MEP PM.Qualifications :
Minimum Bachelors degree in relevantdisciplines:
Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum Fifteen (15) years experience with minimum of 5 years in Construction Administration in UAE and 5 years in the Middle Eastwith international Consultant firms.
Must haveexperience working with Healthcare Hospitalprojects.
Strong technicalbackground.
Excellent knowledge of Mechanicalsystems products and materials.
Excellentknowledge of applicable Mechanical design and constructioncodes.
Excellent oral and written communicationskills.
Excellent command of Microsoft Officebusiness solution (Excel Word).Ability toreview and comment properly on necessarydocumentation.
Excellent understanding ofspecifications and Authorityrequirements.
