Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Jobs in Dubai at Guildhall
The Role
Guildhall is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in high-rise tower projects (50+ floors) and proven MEP contracting experience across the GCC. The role will focus on delivering compliant mechanical designs, coordinating with project stakeholders, and ensuring successful project execution.
- Develop and review mechanical designs for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
- Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and technical design evaluations.
- Prepare shop drawings, BOQs, material specifications, and engineering reports.
- Ensure designs comply with UAE regulations, ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and other disciplines for effective system integration.
- Support BIM coordination, value engineering, QA/QC reviews, commissioning, and project handover.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10–15 years of total experience, including 7–8+ years with an MEP contracting company in the GCC.
- Proven experience in high-rise tower projects (50+ floors).
- Strong knowledge of UAE mechanical design regulations and authority requirements.
- Emaar project experience is preferred.
- UAE Society of Engineers registration required.
- Dubai Municipality/DEWA approval preferred; DCD approval is an advantage.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit MEP, BIM tools, HAP, or Elite is preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
