Our client, a well-established UAE-based financial institution, is seeking a Senior Manager, Wholesale Credit. The organisation has a strong presence in corporate and commercial banking and is recognised for its disciplined credit culture, robust risk governance and strong regulatory standards. The bank continues to grow its wholesale lending portfolio across key sectors in the UAE and wider region, with a focus on prudent underwriting and sustainable credit growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the credit assessment and underwriting of wholesale lending transactions across corporate and commercial banking clients
- Review and analyse complex credit proposals, including financial analysis, cash flow modelling, and industry risk assessment
- Provide independent credit recommendations and ensure alignment with the bank’s risk appetite and credit policies
- Oversee end-to-end credit approval processes, including structuring, documentation review, and covenant analysis
- Monitor existing wholesale credit exposures and proactively identify emerging risks or early warning indicators
- Partner closely with Relationship Management, Risk, and Credit Committees to support sound lending decisions and portfolio quality
Requirements
- 7–10+ years of experience in wholesale credit, corporate banking, or credit risk within banking or financial services
- Strong background in credit underwriting, with proven experience assessing large corporate and/or SME lending transactions
- Deep understanding of financial statement analysis, credit structuring, and risk assessment techniques
- Experience working within credit approval processes and presenting to credit committees
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and front-office teams
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and sound commercial judgement
