Role Overview
We are looking for a Technical Services Senior Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of all technical infrastructure for a large-scale international football tournament. This role will oversee multiple technical work streams including power, ICT, broadcast, and venue systems, ensuring seamless integration and operational readiness across all venues.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall technical services strategy across multiple venues and clusters.
- Oversee planning and delivery of key technical systems including power, ICT, broadcast, AV, and related infrastructure; coordinate with design, overlay, and operations teams to ensure technical requirements are fully integrated.
- Manage technical vendors, consultants, and contractors across all phases (design, installation, testing, operations).
- Ensure all systems are delivered in line with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and readiness of all technical infrastructure.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies across all technical work streams.
- Support venue readiness, test events, and live operations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and technical standards.
- Provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in technical services, infrastructure, or engineering roles.
- Strong background in large-scale events, sports tournaments, or complex infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing multiple technical disciplines (power, ICT, AV, broadcast, etc.).
- Proven experience managing vendors and large technical teams.
- Strong understanding of systems integration and technical delivery lifecycle.
- Experience working in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Relevant engineering or technical qualification preferred.
- Fluent in English;
Arabic is a plus.
