Job Purpose
The Senior Manager of Corporate Communications leads UAB’s corporate communications function to protect and enhance the Bank's reputation, manage media relations, executive communications, corporate publications, crisis communications and external positioning while supporting the Bank's strategic objectives and brand. The role is also responsible for the delivery of all corporate events of the Bank.
Principal Accountabilities
- Develop and execute the corporate communications strategy to enhance brand visibility and protect the reputation of the Bank.
- Manage media relations, press releases and external announcements.
- Prepare executive communications for the CEO and Chairman.
- Lead crisis communications in coordination with Compliance, Legal and Executive Management.
- Manage the Annual Report, ESG Report and corporate publications.
- Ensure brand consistency across all corporate communications.
- Manage PR agencies and communications suppliers.
- Oversee corporate events and sponsorship communications.
- Support strategic projects with communications advice.
- Monitor and report reputation and media performance.
- Budget Management: Manage the corporate communications budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize the impact of marketing initiatives while adhering to financial guidelines.
- Team Development: Train, mentor, and nurture the corporate communications team, fostering professional development and enhancing team capabilities to drive high-performance outcomes.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, Journalism, PR or related discipline. Masters preferred.
- 10–15 years in Corporate Communications/Public Relations, preferably in banking or financial services. Executive communications and agency management experience required.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English is required.
