Senior Manager – Logistics & Distribution Jobs in Dubai, UAE at Americana Foods – National Food Company
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Strategic:
Formulate and execute a comprehensive logistics strategy aligned with business goals, integrating market trends and best practices.
Implement strategies to optimize the supply chain, reduce costs, improve service levels, and develop metrics and KPIs for performance measurement.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, negotiate favourable terms with logistics service providers, and ensure alignment on logistics priorities.
Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions and ensure compliance with regulations.
Drivecontinuous improvementinitiatives across logistics functions, fostering a culture ofinnovationand proactiveproblem-solving.
Operational:
Lead, mentor, and motivate the logistic & distribution team to ensure smooth operations and attainment of performance objectives.
Oversee all aspects of the logistics process, from receiving orders to final delivery.
Collaborate with internal departments, including procurement, sales, and warehouse management, to synchronize activities and optimize distribution processes.
Negotiate and manage contracts with transportation and warehousing providers with procurement.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to distribution and logistics, such as on-time delivery rates andinventory accuracy, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and industry standards governing distribution operations, including transportation regulations andsafety protocols.
Identify opportunities forprocess optimizationwithin the distribution function, streamline workflows, and implement improvements to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
Analyse data and insights to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement, guidingstrategic decision-makingto enhance operational performance andcustomer satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Academic and professional qualifications:
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Supply Chain Degree
Previous experience in Logistics & Distribution is preferred in UAE and or Kuwait.
Experience:
A minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in Logistics & Distribution
At least 8 years of experience in a similar role inside UAE.
Proven track recordof managing logistics & distribution operations effectively and achieving high scores oncustomer satisfaction
