I’m currently partnering with a leading semi-government organisation in Dubai to hire a Senior Manager – Investment Strategy & Planning. This is a high-impact, strategic role sitting at the centre of investment decision-making, working closely with senior leadership on large-scale initiatives and long-term planning.
The position is a contract role with an initial duration of 8 months and is renewable
This opportunity is ideal for candidates who enjoy shaping strategy and influencing where organisation's invest, with a strong focus on business case development, portfolio planning, and investment governance, the role sits in the Strategy & Planning Dept and report the the Head of Investment Planning.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading the development of investment briefs, business cases, and feasibility studies across a portfolio of strategic initiatives
- Conducting detailed cost-benefit analysis, financial modelling, and investment appraisals
- Translating high-level strategy into a structured, multi-year investment roadmap
- Driving portfolio prioritisation, ensuring the right initiatives are selected based on value, risk, and strategic alignment
- Preparing and presenting materials for senior leadership and investment committees
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure robust data, clear assumptions, and commercially sound recommendations
- Supporting post-investment reviews to track performance and realised benefits
- Continuously improving governance frameworks, processes, and templates
Knowledge, skills & experience:
- 5 + years experience in strategy, management consulting, investment planning, or corporate strategy roles
- Strong background in business case development, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analysis
- Proven ability to work with and influence senior stakeholders and leadership teams
- Experience within a Big Four consulting environment – PwC, Deloitte, EY, or KPMG – is highly preferred
- Background in large, complex organisations or transformation environments
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
