Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a talented Senior Manager – Engineering Management to join our team.
Role Purpose
The Senior Engineering Manager is responsible for developing, preparing, and managing project engineering documentation to ensure successful delivery of all engineering activities within their assigned project. Initial projects include neighborhoods in Phase 1 of THE LINE
.
They will develop strategies, management plans, schedules, risk mitigation plans, resource strategies, stakeholder and communication plans, and ensure compliance with Neom standards.
The Senior Engineering Manager manages their team, including engineers, subject matter experts, secondees, and consultants, to meet engineering milestones and outcomes.
Reporting to the Project Manager/Director daily, they provide work output, support, guidance, and strategic updates to the Director of Engineering Management. They work closely with NEOM sectors and stakeholders to ensure engineering outcomes are communicated and delivered effectively.
It is essential to perform duties professionally and diligently, supporting project timelines and instructions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Develop and manage engineering strategies, plans, schedules, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and reporting to meet project requirements.
Provide engineering expertise and guidance to ensure project outcomes align with objectives.
Ensure compliance with Neom codes, standards, and practices.
Collaborate with project stakeholders, including project managers, architects, consultants, and contractors.
Drive project engineering success, foster innovation, and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
Monitor and report on engineering activities’ progress.
Prepare scopes of work and evaluate technical proposals.
Provide necessary engineering support.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Manage team performance and project outcomes.
Ensure engineering outcomes meet project objectives.
Plan and oversee engineering activities to meet timelines, budgets, and standards.
Manage risks strategically.
Allocate resources effectively, including procurement.
BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
Over 20 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in senior or director roles. Minimum 6 years in engineering project management or leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Essential Skills
Proven leadership in engineering offices for major contractors, consultants, or developers.
Strong analytical, negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
Experience managing multiple teams across project phases.
Ability to work under pressure and develop innovative solutions.
