Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a visionary and experienced Senior Manager – Design (Architecture) for the Sport Business Unit to lead architectural design initiatives within Qiddiya's dynamic sports projects. This role requires a strategic leader who will direct the architectural design process, ensuring the realization of world-class sports facilities that embody innovation, functionality, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide architectural design management on the sports assets working closely with the Development Lead, Senior Director of Design, Project Design Director and the LDC's and their sub-consultants.
- To ensure coordination of the design and engineering with all disciplines
- To closely work with the development team to align to budgets and project timescales
- To manage weekly design meetings
- To coordinate with the Master developer where required
- To ensure the assets meet all building codes including City Framework standards and other standards required by federations.
- To keep abreast of any changing codes and ensure they are adopted.
- To ensure the consultants meet their deliverables as per the contract
- To review all drawings / deliverables and approve or comment as required using the CRS process
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- 7+ years of progressive experience in architectural design management, preferably in sports or large-scale facility projects
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary design teams
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Knowledge of local and international building codes and sustainable design practices
- Experience working in the Middle East region is a plus
