Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Commercial – Cost specialist who will play a vital role in managing and optimizing the cost functions across our diverse residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. This position demands a strategic leader who can provide insights and strategies to ensure effective financial management while driving project success.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of cost management strategies across residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects
- Oversee the preparation and evaluation of cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts to facilitate informed decision-making
- Conduct detailed analysis of project costs, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and implementing necessary actions
- Collaborate closely with project managers and other stakeholders to integrate cost management processes within project lifecycles
- Manage and mentor a dedicated team of cost professionals to promote best practices in cost management
- Review tenders, contracts, and claims, ensuring the alignment of cost implications with the contractual obligations
- Provide regular reports and presentations to senior management on cost performance, highlighting any concerns or opportunities
- Stay updated on industry standards, trends, and technological advancements to enhance cost management practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification is preferred
- 7+ years of experience in cost management within large-scale residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects
- Proven expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis within the construction industry
- Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing and developing high-performing teams
- Proficient in cost management software and tools
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
