We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Advisor with a strong background in the construction industry to provide legal guidance and ensure compliance with Qatar labor, procurement, and commercial laws. The ideal candidate will support corporate activities, manage legal risk, and protect the organization’s interests in all business transactions and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Labor Law Compliance:
Interpret and apply Qatar Labor Law in employment matters, including contracts, employee rights, disputes, and termination procedures.
Procurement Law Expertise:
Ensure full compliance with Qatar Procurement Law, including the legal review of government tenders, contracts, and public sector agreements.
Contract Management:
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, ensuring alignment with Qatar legal standards and minimizing legal risk.
Joint Ventures and Partnerships:
Structure and review local and international JV agreements, addressing risk allocation, governance, and regulatory compliance.
Manage and advise on litigation, arbitration, and mediation processes, working with external legal counsel when necessary.
Regulatory Compliance:
Monitor and ensure the company’s adherence to all local laws and regulations, keeping stakeholders informed about legal changes and enforcing compliance policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent;
Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 7–10 years of legal experience, with a strong focus on construction and infrastructure projects.
Proven experience with Qatar Labor and Procurement Law is essential.
Strong background in contract law, especially within the Qatar regulatory framework.
Prior experience handling legal matters related to Joint Ventures and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP).
