Senior Landscape Architect – Design Manager Jobs in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia at Dar
We are looking for an adaptable, enthusiastic, and established designer with excellent communication skills to lead and manage projects for the Landscape Department.
Key accountabilities:
Project manage landscape-led projects and multi-disciplinary teams.
Produce sustainable concept landscape designs.
Prepare, write, and contribute to Design Stage Reports.
Lead in preparing financial and technical proposals for the department.
Collaborate with the Company’s other landscape design offices overseas to help carry through concept designs to the detailed landscape design stage.
Work collaboratively with internal design departments and external consultants including urban designers, architects, planners, and infrastructure engineers.
Contribute to deliverables and ensure that they are submitted on time and to the highest quality.
Interact with client representatives through meetings and presentations to represent the company’s interests.
Ensure the Company’s QA system is always applied.
Monitor work produced by others within and external to the Landscape Department in the process of preparing reports and documentation for issue.
Manage projects and client relations.
Experience:
15-20 years of experience, with exposure to working on international projects.
Project and people management skills.
Firm understanding of the design process.
Experience working in a multi-disciplinary consultancy.
Strong report writing skills, with the ability to write clear and concise reports.
Excellent presentation skills.
Experience of working in the MENA Region.
Key Qualifications and Responsibilities:
A bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture/Design and preferably a postgraduate degree/diploma in Landscape Architecture.
Project management experience of multidisciplinary projects.
A sound understanding of design processes and good technical knowledge that can be shared and inspire the wider team.
An ability to execute with design excellence and attention to detail.
The ability to sketch/develop designs on paper and digitally.
Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience in working on a variety of scales and typologies varying from master planning to site-specific landscape.
Experience on projects from schematic design to construction documentation.
Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
Fluent written and spoken English and good report writing abilities.
Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
Initiative, motivation, and being a team player.
