Senior Key Account Manager – Health & Benefits (Western Region)

Reports To: Head of H&B

Job Purpose

The Senior Key Account Manager is responsible for leading and developing the Health & Benefits portfolio across the Western Region while managing a portfolio of strategic clients. The role focuses on client retention, business growth, service excellence, and team leadership to ensure the successful delivery of H&B solutions and achievement of business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Key Account Management

  • Manage and oversee a portfolio of major and strategic Health & Benefits clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Lead renewal negotiations and retention strategies for assigned accounts.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional services and solutions.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex client issues.

Regional Leadership

  • Support the implementation of regional and business strategies.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and drive achievement of revenue, retention, and profitability targets.
  • Ensure consistent service standards across all client accounts within the region.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to Account Managers, Account Handlers, and Client Service teams.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Monitor team performance and support employee development initiatives.
  • Assist in succession planning and talent development within the region.

Business Development

  • Support prospect meetings, client presentations, and tender submissions.
  • Develop growth plans for key clients and strategic accounts.
  • Contribute to achieving regional revenue and growth targets.

Client Experience and Service Excellence

  • Ensure delivery of exceptional service and client satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular client review meetings and strategic business reviews.
  • Monitor service performance and implement improvement initiatives when required.
  • Promote a proactive and client-centric approach across the team.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with insurers, service providers, and internal departments to deliver effective client solutions.
  • Work closely with leadership teams to align regional priorities with overall business objectives.
  • Represent the Company in important client meetings and industry events.

Compliance and Governance

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of professional conduct and risk management.
  • Support internal audits and compliance reviews as required.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Insurance, Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience within employee benefits, health insurance, benefits consulting or insurance brokerage.
  • Previous people leadership experience with responsibility for coaching and developing teams.
  • Strong understanding of the Saudi Arabian health insurance and employee benefits market.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage senior client relationships and complex stakeholder environment.
  • Strong commercial, analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is advantageous.
